Yup. That pretty much explains it. I am leaving here, leaving every last site on this damn internet I bet. It will be never, or a very long time before I return. There is plenty of hateclubs on my ass and every last aspect of this wretched internet sucks. I have been removed from friend's lists, ignored...blocked. Featured in cyber bully journal entries and stupid comics about me turning into piles of shit. I can't take it. Also, apparently I am rude in my favorite hobby, roleplay, as well. I plan on smashing my wi-fi connection or murdering myself in a way that will suffer, thanks for all the fun.



Here's the scoop....I have been planning a contest for a while now, and finally have a unique, underused idea, featuring some very well-put songs I have sang before, either as solos, duets, or in a choir. They are bizarre, unique, and mostly beautiful.



To create a peice of art as your interpretation of one of these song titles, or songs, even look up the lyrics, sheet music, or a video of the song in performance if you need to.

Now, here are the song titles:

-Viva La Musica [performed by 6th grade choir, means "Long live the music"]
-Snowy Feathers [wintertime song, performed by 6th grade choir]
-Winterlight [wintertime song, performed by 6th grade choir]
-Go'way from my Window [performed as a solo, by a very talented 8th grader]
-Singin' in the Rain [performed by 6th grade choir, very great work they did]
-Basil the Cat [haha, a song that I found very sweet and interesting about a cat]
-Sansa Kroma [a family song, about not being left by parents, unlike an unfortunate eagle, performed by 6th grade choir]
-Shenandoah [performed by another talented 8th grader]
-America, My Home [not the usual american-celebration song, but great lyrics, I performed this in my 7/8 grade choir]
-Wintertime Aglow [a sweet, eerie, winter-celebration song performed by my 7/8 grade choir]
-One Little Candle [ a dear peice with several solos within, can be related to many holidays of the season, and was performed by my 7/8 grade choir]
-The Water is Wide [a solor performed, not a peice I am fond of]
-I'm Nobody! Who are you! [a song based on an Emily Dickenson poem, very eerie, interesting, and exciting to perform, 7/8 choir]
-Freedom Train [an upbeat, exciting peice, very sweet, I can really supply lyrics]
-La Puerta El De Cielo [ a Spanish lullaby, sung in choir, last year]
-Don't Get Around Much Anymore
-Skye Boat Song [I would love it if you did this peice, I performed it as a duet with ~subrinaz, and I must say it is wonderful, I can supply many links and lyrics]

For many of these songs, I can supply lyrics, and can tell you them, I lack lyrics for some solos and 6th grade songs, but I am sure you can dig some up.

Any media is allowed I must note, even literature, like an interpretation story, or a painting of Basil the Cat...or a fullcolor prisma drawing of musical instruments at their finest!



-You may not use pre-made linearts, I am afraid, this is YOUR interpretation, not someone else's...this contest is all about originality!
-Stock images and brushes must be credited to rightful owners
-Artwork must be made for this contest, nothing from before.
-Judgement will not be on artistic ability, really, here's the rubric:

Effort- /5
Interpretation- /10
Neatness- /10 [it counts, like for literature, your poem/story/etc's use of words, punctuation capitalization...or your artwork's cleanliness, like if it is really folded, wrinkled, smeared...the grade will be low.]
Creativity- /20

/45 Points

I will take off points from additional score if I find something unrelated, obscure...inappropriate...so be aware.

I will not be sharing rubrics, accept requested.

-Deadline is JANUARY 5TH 2009!

-Deadline extensions are permitted, but I will only extend 3 days per person, unless there is major lack of entries.

-Artwork must be copyrighted to YOU, unless using stock images with credit, etc.

-No watermarks permitted until after I have announced winners.

-At most, you can have 5 entries, only 1 can be permitted to win though.

-Once entry is done, post a WORKING link on my page, or in a note to me.
